General Practitioners (After Hours) – Ocean Grove
Epichealth Medical Clinic, located in Ocean Grove Marketplace, is extending its After Hours Service and seeking dedicated, qualified General Practitioners to join our team.
Position details:
- Location: Epichealth Medical Clinic – Ocean Grove Marketplace
- Period: 1st November 2024 to 31 October 2025
- Service: After Hours in-clinic GP care for urgent but low-acuity health conditions that cannot wait for regular business hours. Consultations include both Face-to-Face and Telehealth options.
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7pm to 9pm
- Saturday: 6pm to 9pm
- Sunday: 3pm to 9pm
Mandatory requirements:
- Vocationally Registered GP
- Current registration with AHPRA with no conditions
- Medical degree with a valid licence to practice in Australia
- Current Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Completion of, or willingness to complete, Multicultural Training
What we offer:
- Mon to Fri: $200 per hour + GST (7pm to 9pm)
- Saturday: $215 per hour + GST (6pm to 9pm)
- Sunday: $230 per hour + GST (3pm to 9pm)

VR or Non VR (Gen Reg) – Full time permanent position

General Practitioner (Sessional-Casual)
Our Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Warrnambool is looking for a highly professional,
friendly, dedicated, organised vocationally registered General Practitioner (GP) to
join our clinical team on a sessional/casual basis.
About the Role
Our Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is designed to handle urgent non-life-threatening
medical emergencies. With experienced staff and access to diagnostic facilities, it
offers an efficient alternative to hospital emergency rooms, providing care for injuries,
infections and other urgent health issues.
As a vital team member, the GP will be responsible for leading our clinical team in
providing assessment and treatment of patients after they have been triaged. You
will be supported by a team of Triage Nurses with emergency care skills to assist in
clinical decision-making and patient management.
Key responsibilities:
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Demonstrate a commitment towards excellence, best practice and improving performance delivery of high-quality urgent care to all patients.
- Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements of the health service and relevant Government Departments.
- Ensure clear communication to clinic staff and provide adequate information to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to all aspects of confidentiality regarding patients, staff and personal documentation.
- Actively support patients to make informed decisions about their treatment and ongoing care.
- In collaboration with the Practice Manager and Clinical Director, identify opportunities to further strengthen sustainability of the medical services provided in the urgent care setting.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records to a high standard.
- Contribute towards a positive culture within the UCC program and foster a multidisciplinary approach to client care.
- Promote local and public health initiatives.
- Maintain involvement and responsibility for Clinical Governance and Clinical handover as appropriate.
- Actively monitor and improve the quality and safety of services.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who has:
Essential
- MBBS.
- Vocationally Registered.
- Involvement in RACGP QA and CME.
- Post Graduate experience as a General Practitioner in urgent care/emergency medicine or community health.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems (ie. Best Practice).
- Proven ability to improve clinical outcomes based on best practice medicine and evidence-based research.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance frameworks and applicability to primary health services.
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare requirements for General Practitioners.
- Commitment towards Quality Improvement in all aspects of practice performance, including best health care outcomes/access and availability/financial targets.
Desirable
- FRACGP.
- Understanding of RACGP General Practice Accreditation Guidelines.
- Initiative in suggesting strategies to enhance greater efficiency throughout the clinic.
- Ability to adopt a change management approach towards new initiatives.
- High level communication skills (both verbal and written).
Checks, Licences & Registrations
- Registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria.
- CPR Certificate.
- Basic and Advanced Life Support Training.
- National Police Records Check.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Immunisation Category A.
- Working with Children Check.
